Hearts for NOLA

Love that returns. Hope that remains.

The French Quarter · New Orleans, Louisiana

The French Quarter is not simply a place we visit. After eight years of returning, listening, praying, and serving, the people we meet there have become family.

The assignment

Showing up with the love of Jesus, staying long enough to build trust.

For eight years, Angela Stress Ministries has taken outreach teams into the French Quarter of New Orleans to serve people experiencing homelessness and those affected by addiction. We go to listen, pray, offer practical help, and share the hope and restoring love of Jesus Christ.

Consistency has turned outreach into relationship. By returning to the same streets and seeing many of the same faces, trust has grown and bonds have formed. The people we serve are not projects or numbers. They are people with names, stories, purpose, and dignity, and many have become family to us.

When someone is ready to leave addiction or life on the streets, we help them connect with programs and resources that can support recovery and a new life. Hearts for NOLA stands in the gap with compassion, truth, prayer, and practical next steps, believing that no life is beyond the reach of Christ's redemption.
